Cosmogenesis: The Story of Us

Role: Visionary, Playwright, Creative Producer

Cosmogenesis is a powerful, multimedia production that explores themes of belonging, inclusion, and personal transformation within the context of the 13.8-billion-year story of the Universe and Earth. This 90-minute Astro-Theatre stage play and immersive cinema, models social and intellectual tools to inspire participants, particularly students, to bridge divides, embrace empathy, and appreciate differences, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.

It follows the journey of its main character, Lotus, as she moves from despair to self-determination and empowerment, addressing mental health and the importance of personal agency, creativity and the power of community. Through a combination of traditional stage theater, immersive cinema under the dome of the Planetarium, aerial dance, virtual reality, and an original soundtrack, Cosmogenesis brings innovative storytelling mediums together to create a transformative social impact experience intended to inspire audiences to reimagine belonging at all levels and engage in thoughtful discourse. Slated to be performed at CU Boulder’s Fiske Planetarium in the Fall of 2025.

One-Woman Show

It all began near Escalante National Park where I first performed the story of the Universe. After much encouragement, for the following 5-years, 2010-2015, I travelled and toured with this one-woman show: telling and teaching the 13.8 billion-year story of the Universe and Earth through five characters.

The first act spans from the Big Bang to the creation of planet Earth. In the second act, the fourth wall is broken to include audience members and to invite them to become participants in the unfolding 4.5 Billion-year story of Earth.
